Trichomes in the Vegetative Stage: What Does It Mean? |
We received this question and these pictures last week from grower Preston and I wanted to share the information with everyone. Notice the trichomes on the sides of these cannabis leaves. |
Why are they appearing in the vegetative stage? What causes trichomes on cannabis leaves in the vegetative stage?
Trichomes (the sparkly stuff you see on buds) are usually only seen in the flowering stage on buds, and to a lesser extent, they show up on leaves around the buds. For some strains, their leaves may become completely covered in trichomes. Trichomes
are the “sparkle” you see growing on buds in the flowering/budding stage of life.

"There is a company in North Carolina that sell special bulbs that are specifically meant for Cannabis plants. Its a company called Solacure. They have 2 and 4 foot bulbs that add extra UVB for hime growers all the way up to commercial growers. They do have some real world testing on them. Maybe it's something to
look into. I just bought the 2 foot bulb for testing purposes. I guess we will see. Thank you for all your info at GWE. Harvest day might be a sad day, but the day they're finished curing will be absolutely epic. 🏆 ~Sirius GrowWeedEasy.com is being sued! We received an extremely aggressive letter from a lawyer that said he's preparing to sue us on behalf of his client. What did we do? He claims that we unlawfully used his content and that we owe him lots of money. That's some scary stuff, but let's look this up before we go writing checks. Hmmm...it appears this is a scammer. Their
scam? Accuse random websites of stealing content, send them a threatening letter, then hope to get paid. Scammers will try to pressure their victims into making decisions quickly and hastily, so if anyone (literally anyone) is trying to get you to pay them quickly out of nowhere, your scam sensors should be going off. Make sure to watch out for seed scams!
Remember: Real seed businesses don't contact you. They let you contact them. If anyone messages you to sell you seeds on social media, look out! It's possible they will take your payment and send nothing. Always take a second to think before sending money to anyone, especially if they contact you (whether by DM, text message, phone call, email, etc.).
