Knowing what cannabis grow schedule to expect can help you manage your time to put your effort where it's needed. The average indoor grow takes about 4 months (more for bigger plants) from seed to smokable weed in your hands (under 90 days for autoflowering strains). Keep reading to learn more!

Pro Tips for the Best Buds Dry First, Then Enjoy: Buds on the plant contain a lot of water. After harvest, dry your buds in a cool dark space until the small stems snap (3-10 days on average,
depending on environment and size of buds). This step results in smokable flower. Level Up with Curing: To improve bud quality further, put dried buds in a sealed container to "cure" for a few weeks. Here's the #1 method to cure buds perfectly every time. The curing step is optional but
awesome, and improves overall... - Density (buds feel more solid)
- Potency (stronger perceived effects)
- Smell (richer, more intense aroma)
- Flavor (tastier, smoother smoke)

Grower Survey: Integra Boost or Boveda Humidity Packs for Curing?
|
We recently wrote about the #1 method to cure weed, which involves using a "humidity control pack" to automatically control the humidity in
the jars during the crucial curing process. I personally use Boveda 58% RH packs for curing, but that's not the only good option.
|
We got a few questions about the best humidity packs to use. The most popular version is by "Boveda" but there is a second contender known as "Integra Boost".
I wanted to share my experience with them. - In my side-by-side tests, Boveda vs Integra Boost packs work the same. All buds cured perfectly with both brands.
However, there is one difference. The companies offer slightly different options for humidity levels. - Boveda offers 58% and 62% humidity packs
- Integra Boost offers 55% and 62% humidity
packs
I've tried them all and all of them work well to cure weed! It's hard to tell the difference when you're smoking the buds.
In general, the higher humidity levels are better if you want softer weed. The lower levels are better for oversized buds or long-term storage, since they reduce the overall levels of moisture in the jar. What size pack do I need? I know there's lots of numbers so it can get confusing. But this may help: "Size 8" (8 gram size) is ideal for a 1 quart jar or about 1 ounce of weed. That's the
most common size for curing containers. The Size 8 packs also work in smaller jars. However, if you are curing in bigger jars (like 1/2 gallon size), you should either get a bigger size humidity pack, or use multiple packs per jar.
I'd love to hear what you think. If you prefer one brand or the other, or a particular humidity level over another, hit the "Reply" button and tell us why!

Sirius Fourside: Sirius Fourside is a hobbyist grower who has gained the bulk of his experience growing in water as a medium (deep water culture, bubbleponics). "Growing
cannabis can be a relaxing hobby in and of itself, but it also saves you money and keeps you from having to deal with shady characters. Cannabis is much easier to grow than people give it credit for, and growing in water doesn't increase the difficulty much, if any. But whether you want to grow in water, coco, or a different medium, we'll show you how easy it can be!"
