So for a few weeks, I'll be featuring a new edible recipe each week. If there's still weed left at the end, I'll make some hash and concentrates, too!
Always "Decarb" Weed Before Making Edibles
To start, I want to share the most important step to making ANY edible: Decarboxylation ("Decarb" for short).
It's a fancy name that basically just means you need to "bake" your weed, by itself, before eating it.
Quick instructions: Before making edibles, decarb (cook) cannabis in the oven for 30 minutes at 250°F (120°C) to increase potency.
Decarbing first dramatically
increases the potency of your edibles.
How does decarbing work? Cannabis actually contains mostly THCA, which "decarbs" into THC when smoked. However, regular food recipes usually aren't enough to decarb cannabis, and it doesn’t happen naturally in your stomach. That's why decarboxylation is essential when processing cannabis to eat, or the edibles won't feel strong.

decarbed on a baking sheet…
